I’m Braxtyn Davies, linebacker at the University of Alabama at Birmingham - UAB, majoring in Civil Engineering and proud to be an honors student. Football has shaped who I am, especially the preparation. I love the details: on-field technique, effort and execution in the weight room, film study, and learning the game at a deeper level every day.
That same attention to detail is what drew me to civil engineering. I’m motivated by the idea of building things that last and solving real problems that help people, whether that means safer roads, stronger bridges, or better systems that support a growing community. Engineering teaches me to think critically, follow a process, and stay disciplined with the small things, and those habits translate directly to football. In both, the foundation matters. The work you put in when no one is watching is what holds up under pressure.
I’m driven by competition and constant improvement, and I take pride in being a reliable teammate, someone who shows up, works, communicates, and does things the right way. My approach is simple: earn trust through consistency, bring energy, and keep stacking good days.
Off the field, I enjoy spending time with my family and bass fishing. I’m also passionate about giving back to my community in Birmingham, Alabama and my hometown of Newnan, Georgia. Whether it’s football, academics, or service, I want my work to reflect discipline, character, and purpose.
